Belgian EBCP Mirror Group

Express your interest and access the SharePoint

With the support of the Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health, the Belgian Cancer Centre at Sciensano established the Belgian 'Europe's Beating Cancer Plan' Mirror Group which aims to align the efforts of the main stakeholders, and ensure optimal use of the opportunities offered by the variety of EU funding. Ultimately, the aim is to benefit the health care system, and improve the health and well-being of cancer patients and survivors in Belgium.

We work in Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) where we develop all content around particular topics. This is an opportunity for you to contribute more actively in shaping the activities that will take place in Belgium as part of the Belgian EBCP Mirror Group. Therefore, please let us know which TWG(s) you would like to join. We estimate that the Thematic Working Groups will be meeting around 4 to 6 times per year, depending on the identified needs and opportunities.

The current Thematic Working Groups are:

  • Prevention, Early detection & Screening

  • Diagnosis and Treatment

  • Care and Care organisation (including palliative and psycho-social care)

  • Rehabilitation and socio-professional integration

  • Citizen and patient engagement

  • Children, adolescents and young adults (CAYAs) with cancer

  • Data, innovation, and artificial intelligence

Nb: The topics "research", "inequalities" and "quality of life" are no longer covered in a specific TWG, but as a transversal topic which will be covered horizontally accross the whole cancer continuum, in all of the thematic working groups.

In order to express your interest, participate in a and have your voice heard on these topics, we kindly ask you to complete this online registration form. This form also allows you to provide us with the needed information if you want an access to the SharePoint (secured online workspace) to be created for you.

Kind regards
