Sciensano is evaluating potential health effects of the mobile phone usages. Several biological endpoints will be explored through the analyses of the cells in the inner cheeks. This research is performed under the European NextGEM project (link to Sciensano website, and/or NextGEM). To this end, volunteers between 18 and 45 year-old, in good health are invited to participate. To objectify your usage, an app will be installed on your phone. By participating, you will contribute to a better understanding of how mobile phone usage may affect human health, particularly in relation to exposure to electromagnetic fields from mobile phones.
This survey is intended to collect information on your mobile phone habits. Depending on your answers, and your possible classification as heavy or light mobile phone user, especially focusing on oral communication, mobile phone at the ear, you will be invited to two moments of contact that will last around 30 to 60 min. At the end of the study, participants will be invited to a workshop for the restitution of the collective results, comparing both groups of users.
